Chaos Theory: Life’s Loony Tune Reality

Needless to say (oh, I’ll say it anyway), most of us know perfectly well that “anything that can go wrong will go wrong.”

Sometimes, unpredictable little glitches in all of human experience can set processes in motion that can lead to undesirable results (The butterfly-wings/tsunami postulate. Chaos Theory.)

Some examples: a frequent flyer with infected baggage turns scores of hotel mattresses into bedbug asylums, then deadly diseases and hotel failures, one where he was employed and lost his job. A child (call him Doug) was teased that he was weak and gullible. He grew up, went from severe neediness and insecurity to loss of friends to loneliness to psychosis to a girlfriend who suggested he was weak and gullible, then to attempted murder. On the lam to Mexico, he was hit by a motorcycle and arrested by Federales.

These things all start as innocuous ideas, influences or inflections that snowball into something one never saw coming.
