About 25 people attended an organizational meeting of Democrats Abroad at Pomodoro Restaurant in Guadalajara December 3.

Working from a design by artist Claudio Limon, 70 children from seven local orphanages and shelters created this giant painting symbolizing the rights of children in the central patio of the Jalisco Government Palace last weekend. 

The International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) devotees in Guadalajara celebrated the 39th anniversary of the Ratha Yatra on November, 28-29, amidst great pomp and ceremony.  

Vendors who each year install themselves at the popular Christmas market in the small park facing the Museo de Periodismo on Avenida Alcalde (Jardin San Jose) have been moved due to ongoing work on line three of the city’s Tren Ligero (subway) network.  

In 2005, the American Chamber of Commerce marked 40 years in Guadalajara with a celebration that recognized the work of diplomat and entrepreneur Adolf Horn (left photo), who started the local chapter in 1965.
