Got a slightly used clean sweater or blanket, or some gloves or a hat to keep someone less fortunate than yourself warm this winter? Drop them off through December 18 at any one of these Tren Ligero (light train) stations in Guadalajara: Juarez, Avila Camacho, Periferico Sur, Plaza Universidad, San Juan de Dios, Tetlan.
They can also be left at the Fray Angelico, San Juan de Dios, Ciencias de la Salud and Mirador Macrobus stations. The sweaters and warm clothing will go to metro-area and other Jalisco homeless shelters and orphanages. Toys can also be dropped off at any of the above sites, Jalisco Family Development Agency (DIF) facilities and the Trompo Magico museum until December 31. The toys will be given to children in the coastal communities hard hit by Hurricane Patricia. Only non-military and non-battery operated toys are accepted.
