Root for your hometown girl or guy next Sunday, October 6 at the Miss and Mr. Ribera de Chapala Bodybuilding Competition at the Auditorio de la Ribera beginning at 1 p.m.
Nine categories will be represented by local and regional competitors including five beauties who work out Ajijic’s Zona Fitness Gym, sponsor of the event. Three of the ladies are pictured here. From left to right are Beatriz Gonzalez, 17, a student at the Preparatoria Chapala, Karina Aguayo Paz, 27, who with her husband Jorge de Santiago owns Zona Gym and Mayra Magdaleno, 28. The two ladies not shown are Ana Estrada, 32, a beautician from Chapala and Ismene Lopez, 18, who also studies at the Preparatoria. Entrance to the event is 70 pesos.
