During one of the recent storms, lightning struck and destroyed the transformer that serves the orphanage Villa Infantil de San Jose and Our Lady of Guadalupe which is located on the southwest shore of the lake.
CFE agreed to loan the orphanage a transformer for 14 days. If the orphanage cannot pay 37,000 pesos for a new transformer by that deadline, the compound will be plunged into darkness since without this transformer the solar system is unable to function correctly.
