Last weekend’s dog agility contest was a howling success, with 78 pooches of different sizes and breeds showing off their canine abilities and enthusiasm while scrambling over obstacle courses set up on the grounds of the Hotel Perico.
Border collie Harumi and his handler Gonzalo Mendoza of Mexico City racked up the top score for clean runs over the three-days of competition, accumulating points for next fall’s national finals in Toluca. The event was sanctioned by the United States Dog Agility Association, with Chris Dyer of Grapevine, Texas officiating as head judge.
