Christ Church Lakeside
Christ Church Lakeside (CCL), a parish of the Diocese of the West in the Anglican Church of Mexico, will observe the Sixth Sunday of Easter, May 26, by celebrating the Holy Eucharist at 11 a.m. in La Huerta Events Center. Rev. Linda Ramos will celebrate and give the message, “My peace I leave with you.”

St. Andrew’s Anglican

St. Andrew’s service of Holy Eucharist begins Sunday, 10 a.m., and bilingual Sunday School starts at 9:45 a.m. Coffee hour and a time of fellowship and welcome follow the service.
Every Sunday, Operation Feed, the program supported by St. Andrew’s, welcomes donations of non-perishable food items. Boxed milk and empty cardboard egg cartons are especially welcome, in addition to rice, beans, pasta, lentils, garbanzos, oats, oil and salt. The parish distributes the donations to Lakeside’s neediest families.
Every donation or consignment made to St. Andrew’s resale shop, Todo Bueno, benefits the Outreach Ministry of St. Andrew’s. Todo Bueno is located on the Carretera, just west of S&S Auto in Riberas del Pilar. Open 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday through Saturday.

What is Jesus telling us, and what is the beam in one’s eye?
This is a “Milk Sunday.” Please bring a cardboard container of unexpired milk for distribution to families who cannot afford the basic necessities. Also, if your garden or fruit trees are producing more than you consume, dropping off produce will be greatly appreciated. There is enough for everyone if we share.
Note: Communion is offered immediately after services on non-communion Sundays (2nd and 4th).

”All the days of the oppressed are wretched, but the cheerful heart has a continual feast.” (Proverbs 15:15.)
We take situations and replay them in our minds. We have conversations in our heads with people, and build a case against them, though we don’t really know what they are thinking. We tend to “nurse, curse, and rehearse” those things that happen to us. When we do this, we tend to make ourselves miserable and this reflects in our lives. It is important that we lead our lives in a positive manner and mirror God’s word. What are you meditating on? Get rid of the “oppressed and wretched” forecasts and share God’s love with others around you.

Unitarian Universalists
Sunday, May 26, Michael Reason speaks on “The Universal Power of Music” at the Lake Chapala Unitarian Universalist Fellowship. Music is the universal language that touches the soul. Reason, who is a pianist for the church and conductor at the Lake Chapala Community Orchestra, will give a talk about the way music speaks to all of us and defines who we are as spiritual beings.
Richard Clarke will lead the service.

Abundant Life Church
Is your life busy or a slow pace? Do you seem less or more stressed out than ten years ago?
The funny thing is that for many people, the changing of location or the advancement of years do very little as far as changing our lifestyle. Jesus expects the same of us. He changes us from the moment of our salvation and never expects that to slow down or be reversed. Jesus has a plan or a lifestyle that he expects all of us to emulate.

Abundant Life Church is affiliated with the Assemblies of God of Mexico and has services for everyone. Home Church Int’l
Probably a majority of people think good of themselves. Not being renegades, hateful or perverts, they will say, “I think I am a pretty good person.” Often one’s basic role in life leads one to form opinions, good or bad. A catch in this assessment is the fact that some are wearing a mask. A case in point is a city pastor who felt his role as ruler of that domain. He knew everyone expected him to be the “holy” one.
Yet, our having known the church secretary quite well, she stated that, “He’s the meanest man I have ever known.”
Opinions are not the real issue. Surprisingly, Jesus was approached by a man seeking eternal life who called the prophet a “good teacher.” Jesus replied to illustrate a point, “Why do you call me good? No one is good but One, namely, God. If you want to enter into life, keep the commandments.” He was not really pushing rules or legalism, but holiness, an authentic relationship with the Heavenly Father.
Pastors Paul and Susana Allen point us to a saving relationship through Jesus Christ.
