Heritage Baptist Church

What will happen to me? The voice within your soul cries out and you wonder if you will ever find peace of mind. You know all about salvation because you were brought up on your mother's knee, learning the word of God and you went to Sunday school. My friend, the word of God says this, He has appointed a day, in which he will judge the world in righteousness. You say: “I’ll put it off, I’ll do something about it later, some other time in my life it’s just not convenient for me now.” But God commands all men everywhere to repent - now! Don’t put it off, for the word of God says, we do not know, what a day will bring forth! Now is the accepted time, now is the day of salvation. Isaiah 55: 6-9 says, Seek the Lord while he may be found; call on him while he is near. Let the wicked forsake their ways and the unrighteous their thoughts. Let them turn to the Lord, and he will have mercy on them.

Lake Chapala Baptist Church

Pastor Speight closed his 3 part sermon, “Three Decisions That Will Change Your Life” February 11 with “Decision #3: I Choose To Live Believing The Best Is Yet To Come.”

1 Peter 1:3 answers the question “Is There Hope?” telling us “God the Father … has given us a new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ.” Our hope is an optimistic outlook based on powerful promises of God. We know our future is secure because we have “an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade (1 Peter 1: 4-5). We know our future is now because 1 Peter 1:6-9 says “for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials” but, “you are receiving the goal of your faith, the salvation of your souls.”
