‘All You Need Is Love’ world premiere at St. Andrew’s

There are certain songs we’ll never forget, and the four lads from Liverpool wrote many of them.

Singing along to Beatles’ favorites such as “Hey Jude,” “Yesterday” and “Let It Be” lifts spirits, and that’s why Fr. James-Francis Twyman, the priest in charge at St. Andrew’s Anglican/Episcopal Church, is announcing the world premiere of a concert based on music by The Beatles music called “All You Need is Love.” “This is what I would call a Concert/Mass,” Fr. James-Francis said, “because it integrates the prayers and celebrations most Christians are familiar with, but with Beatles’ music. For example, ‘Here Comes the Sun’  becomes ‘Here Comes the Son, and the words to Paul McCartney’s classic ‘Yesterday’ are changed for the reading of the Gospel. It’s unlike anything that’s ever been shared before, and later this year the musical will be performed in hundreds of churches. But it all starts at St. Andrew’s and the Lakeside community.”
