Heritage Baptist Church

What happened when Christ came? Three things were accomplished. He bought new blessings. He cleansed our consciences. And finally and most importantly, He secured our salvation. With his sacrifice he became the only intermediary between the believer and God and the source “of good things to come.” His sacrifice bought blessings, he accomplished cleansing of our conscience, and he secured our redemption.

By having our guilt removed, we now have an open and direct worship of God. All of our sins committed against the Law of God, all our dead works cleansed from our conscience. The blood of Christ has washed over our heart and conscience and leaves behind a trail as white as snow.

One of the most conscience-cleansing realities that any man, woman or young person may have is the knowledge that when we put our heads on our pillows at night we know that our sins have been completely forgiven by God. Stay, dear brethren in His forgiveness and carry not the guilt that has been cleansed.

Please join us at the American Legion, Morelos street 114, Chapala. Sundays at 10:30. Cell: 331-437-7281 or 333-016-3743, email: HeritageBaptistChurchMexico @gmail.com, or visit our Web page: hbcmx.org and Facebook page: HeritageBaptist Church Mexico

Lake Chapala Baptist

Babies, beauties and banks reward waiting. Comedians and pastry chefs remind us of the value of timing. We all hold our breath as an actress tearfully pauses to deliver her key line. Perhaps you’ve been at a birthday party where after some games and food a parent says, “Wait, there’s one more thing,” and steps into the room with some joy-giving surprise behind their back. In the Bible, God prepares his people for millennia in preparation for a special moment. Then he delivers, doing something he’s never done before. “In the fullness of time,” it says, “God sent his Son.” The next sentence proclaims the purpose, “that we might receive adoption to sonship.” God’s family is open to you! Whether it’s with us or another local church, don’t miss out on your family reunion! The table is turned and God now waits on you!

English worship service is Sundays at 10:45 a.m. with Pastor Dan Klassen. Spanish worship service follows at 12:40 p.m. English-language Bible study is Sunday at 9:30 a.m. and Tuesday at 10 .am. Lakeside Presbyterian

Sermon title for Sunday, October 6 is “What do you want?” From John 1:35-51, Love is a selfless, unconditional affection for someone. And Christian love is the greatest of all virtues that mirrors the love God has for humanity. This love is active and seeks the well-being of others, with compassion and empathy. How do we learn to demonstrate more love in our lives? Surprisingly, the answer is in the practice of the spiritual discipline of worship.

After the service, join us in the Narthex for coffee and refreshments.

Our role is to bring him glory and not for us to get our way.
