Who can imagine Christmas without a carol or two? Many of us find ourselves humming O Come All Ye Faithful or another timeless tune for days — not an unpleasant thing!
Christmas carols are woven into our upbringing, imprinting our hearts with the culture and belief systems of our country from childhood to the later seasons of our lives. These unique songs have shaped, comforted, united, and uplifted us throughout our years. We loved them as children, and we love them still.
What could be better than joining others who share this love, singing your hearts out to the heavens and to each other? This simple, joyful tradition brings such warmth and nostalgia that the season seems incomplete without it.
This year, Heritage Baptist Church offers two opportunities to relive those cherished memories with their Old-Time Carol Singalongs. Everyone is welcome, and both events are free!
December 23 at 3 p.m. — American Legion Post 7, Morelos 114, Chapala. Enjoy prizes, surprises, gifts, and plenty of beloved old carols.
December 25 — Club Positivo, San Luis 217, Riberas del Pilar. Celebrate with carols, readings, and a dessert potluck.
