Common Ground Fellowship at Little Chapel

There are those who try to legislate morality to prove that their country is a “Christian nation.” Their focus is on trying to “do Christianity.” This week, through our examination of Hebrews chapter 10, we will see that the author makes it quite clear that we are not called to “do Christianity,” but instead to BE Christians. But how is this accomplished? Join us this Sunday for Dr. Ted Rogers’ sermon: “Do, Be, Do, Be, Do. Heart or Habit?”

Common Ground Fellowship at Little Chapel is a bilingual, dynamic, friendly and all-inclusive place to worship. We believe that the church exists primarily for the benefit of those outside it as we seek to make the love of Christ known to others by serving our community in word and actions. Our worship service begins at 11 a.m. and includes children’s church. Hymn singing is at 9 a.m. and a time of prayer at 10 a.m. We also offer a Wednesday Bible Study beginning at 5 p.m.

Additionally, starting Tuesday, February 10 at 11 a.m., Dr. Ted Rogers will be starting a class on prayer.

Donations of clothing and non-perishable food items that go directly to families in need may be left in the purple donation box in front of the Chapel. We also host Saturday’s car wash fundraiser for Mama Cleo’s Boys’ home, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. each week. Carretera Chapala-Ajijic 10 in Chula Vista.

Christ Church Lakeside

At Christ Church Lakeside, Anglican Church of Mexico, we respond to God’s grace through Jesus Christ by seeking His will daily—nurturing one another through prayer, service, and sharing our gifts. All are welcome in our church family.

We invite the community to join us each Sunday at 10:30 a.m. for worship and communion. February 15, Rev. Luis Rabago Nunez is the celebrant and Inez Dayer will give the message “Celebrate!”

Everyone is warmly encouraged to stay afterward for cake and coffee.

After the service, the Brunch Bunch will meet at Scallion Bistro, 12:30 p.m.

No matter where you are on your faith journey, you are welcome to join us — we are all seekers.

We are located at Carretera 518 in West Ajijic, next to the Smokehouse Restaurant. Facebook: Christ Church Lakeside Ajijic.

Lakeside Presbyterian Church

Sunday, February 15, Pastor Carolyn Hansen will give the sermon, “Why We Read Scripture Together,” from Nehemiah 8:1–12.

At Lakeside Presbyterian Church, we read several Bible passages together each Sunday morning. Why does Scripture have such a central place in worship? In this Sunday’s sermon, we look at how God speaks through the reading of the Word, what the lectionary is, and how hearing Scripture together shapes our faith, our understanding, and our obedience.

English language service is at 10 a.m. at Constitución 26, in Ajijic, 2nd floor. Enter through the back garage area and walk upstairs. For those with limited mobility, there’s also a small elevator at the front. Join us for coffee and refreshments after the service.

If you are unable to attend in person, join us live on Facebook at lpcchapala or on YouTube at @lpcchapala.
