Regarding “Noise Complaints Stack Up” (Guadalajara Reporter, May 4): Has anyone noticed the continued failure of the Chapala government to initiate similar crackdowns here on the plague of businesses and faux restaurants that mainly sell booze and loud noise?

On March 14, a Comisión Federal de Electricidad (CFE) truck entered Rancho Alegre in El Chante and proceeded to cut the electric service to the well, the development’s only water supply.

I had the opportunity to drive into Guadalajara several times last week, one to take some visitors to visit the historical district in Guadalajara and another to drive them to the airport for a flight back home.
