Mariachis struggle; tickets available

After the Mariachis de Guadalajara’s stunning debut season in the Mexican Baseball League (LMB) in 2021, when the team reached the final series, this year’s form has been disappointing.

With 16 games under their belts, the Mariachis lie in seventh place in the nine-team Northern Division of the league, seven games back of leaders Tecolotes de los Dos Laredos. Nonetheless, baseball fans can catch the Mariachis’ upcoming home games at the Estadio Panamericano in Zapopan: Tuesday to Thursday, May 17 to 19, against the Sultanes de Monterrey, all at 7:30 p.m.; and against the Tecolotes, Friday to Sunday, May 20 to 22, at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, 5 p.m. on Saturday and 3 p.m. on Sunday. Tickets available online at boletomovil.com/mariachis-guadalajara. Cost: 120-500 pesos.
