In pursuit of their third Mexico Pacific League (LMP) baseball championship, the Charros de Jalisco faced the Águilas de Mexicali in the first two games of the round-one playoffs on January 1 and 2 at the Pan American Stadium in Zapopan.
Good-sized crowds on both evenings enjoyed the action, with the teams splitting the results: the Águilas triumphed in a thrilling contest 9-7 on Wednesday, while the Charros claimed a decisive victory on Thursday with a score of 12-8.
With the series tied, the teams now head to Mexicali for games three, four and five on January 4, 5 and 6. If the series extends further, the teams will return to Guadalajara for the final two games, scheduled for Wednesday, January 8, and Thursday, January 9, both at 7:30 p.m.
