The Charros de Jalisco advanced to the final series of the Mexican Pacific League (LMP) by defeating the Naranjeros de Hermosillo in five games.
The decisive victory came on Thursday evening in Guadalajara, when the Charros triumphed 14-1 in front of a packed and enthusiastic crowd at the Pan Americano Stadium.
The local baseball franchise will face either the top-ranked Tomateros de Mazatlán or the fourth-ranked Cañeros de Los Mochis in the LMP final. At press time, the series between the two teams was tied 2-2. If the Tomateros win, the first two games of the final will be played in Mazatlán on Tuesday and Wednesday, January 21 and 22. However, if Los Mochis wins, the Charros will host the first two games on those same dates.
The following three games will take place from Friday to Sunday, January 24 to 26. The last two games, if necessary, will be held on January 28 and 29.
