Charromania broke out Sunday evening as the full-throated roar of a packed Panamerican Stadium celebrated more than just a championship.

It heralded the start of a dynasty, some local media outlets suggested. 

The Charros de Jalisco secured their fourth Mexican Pacific League (LMP) title in franchise history, sweeping the Tomateros de Culiacán 4-0 in the final series and claiming a coveted bicampeonato (back-to-back championship).

The clinching 8-6 victory in Game 4 was a classic, encapsulating the intense Charros-Tomateros rivalry. Jalisco exploded early, building a 5-0 lead in the first inning, capped by a Julián Ornelas home run — his fifth of the postseason, tying a league record. Although Culiacán responded with a six-run rally to briefly take the lead, the Charros clawed back with key hits, including a go-ahead RBI from Mateo Gil, to seal the win and the sweep.
