CDC clarifies US travel doubts

All children flying to the United States between the ages of 2 and 18 (regardless of their nationality) will be required to provide proof of a negative Covid-19 test before they board their flights, but not documentation to show they have been vaccinated.

pg3bThis clarification is included in a Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) October 25 update of its order for air passengers traveling to the United States.

Effective November 8, all non-immigrant, non-citizen air travelers to the United States over the age of 18 will be required to be fully vaccinated and provide proof of their vaccination status to airline staff prior to boarding their flight. Fully vaccinated international travelers must also get a Covid test no more than three days (72 hours) before their flight’s departure to the United States.  Unvaccinated children between 2 and 18 will need to get tested no more than 24 hours before traveling.
