City officials seem to have taken the rebuke to heart. On Tuesday a team of equine specialists, assisted by student veterinarians, kicked off a program to check on the condition of some 120 horses and apply vaccinations where required.
This is the fourth health assessment carried out by the city government in the past two years. Guadalajara Mayor Ramiro Hernandez got up close with one of the horses to start to program in motion.
