The projection features a brief narration of the early history of Mexico, from the Conquest to independence from Spain. It also includes a history of Zapopan, its symbols and the religious edifice’s role as the home for the beloved Virgin of Zapopan. The show is scheduled each Friday and Saturday throughout September, starting at 9 p.m.
Equestrians will take over the center of Guadalajara on Saturday, September 14 for the traditional Dia del Charro parade. The event starts at 11 a.m. at the Santuario de Guadalupe church on Avenida Alcalde. It will then head down Alcalde to Calle Corona.
