Zapopan Mayor Pablo Lemus plants a tree to set in motion the first stage of construction of a brand new green space in the metro-area municipality.
Parque Zapopan Central, located in the zone knows as La Curva adjacent to the Charros Baseball Stadium, will cover nearly 40,000 square meters and include areas for children’s games, open-air exercise, cultural activities and a lake.
The park will also house new Zapopan municipal council offices, and parking space for 900 vehicles. Plans for the park were first released back in June 2017.
