A homeless man who caused the death of a motorcycle food delivery courier after tossing a stone from a Guadalajara overpass has been remanded to custody for one year.
On February 14, Guillermo “N” is alleged to have been throwing stones onto traffic circulating along Avenida Lázaro Cárdenas at the crossing with Paseo de la Arboledas, in the Jardines del Bosque neighborhood. Unfortunately, a motorcyclist who was struck on the head by one of the stones lost control of his rig and skidded onto the sidewalk, resulting in fatal injuries. Guillermo “N” has been charged with intentional homicide and will remain in jail for a maximum of 12 months while prosecutors finalize their case.
