María Cristina Ramos, a 45-year-old resident of Zapopan, became the 500,000th person to receive a Covid-19 jab in Jalisco on Wednesday, June 30.
She received her jab at Guadalajara’s Auditorio Benito Juarez, where in recent days inoculation teams have ramped up output to around 20,000 shots a day.
Residents of the state between ages 30 and 39 will be eligible to receive their first vaccine dose in late July or early August, state authorities announced this week.
