An estimated 40,000 fervent pro-life Catholics marched in Guadalajara Saturday, October 2,
to urge Jalisco legislators not to amend local laws in accordance with the recent ruling by the Mexican Supreme Court declaring it unconstitutional to prosecute a woman for terminating her pregnancy.
Addressing the crowd in the Plaza Liberacion, a spokesperson for the protestors demanded that the federal government issue a decree that “respects life from conception to natural death.”
