The large-scale Covid vaccination program in the Guadalajara metropolitan area was reactivated this week after a two-week break for the holidays.
Lines moved quickly at both the Auditorio Benito Juarez and the Tlajomulco Macromodulo, as metro-area residents turned up for their vaccine shots.
Boosters are now being applied to all residents over 60 who had their last jab more than six months ago. You should first register for a booster on the federal website (mivacuna.salud.gob.mx), and then book an appointment on the state website (vacunacion.jalisco.gob.mx). All those with a Mexican CURP personal identity number, including foreigners, are eligible for free Covid vaccines in Mexico.
