The riders, in different states of undress, wound their way through Guadalajara’s streets and avenues, not only with the aim of celebrating the human body, but also to make motorists more aware of their presence, and thus reduce the number of fatal accidents.
Founded in 2004, the Naked Bike Ride is held in more than 200 cities worldwide; the largest event is in reportedly Portland, Oregon, where as many as 10,000 people participate.
