10 die in bus crash near Jalisco border

Yet another inter-city bus has plunged into a ravine in western Mexico, this time killing ten people in the municipality of Villa de Arriaga in San Luis Potosi in the early evening of Monday, September 11.

The accident occurred around 6 p.m. on Highway 80, around 15 kilometers from the Jalisco/Aguascalientes border. The Frontera bus had left San Luis Potosí an hour beforehand with 44 passengers on board and was headed to Ojuelos, Jalisco.

At least 18 people were injured in the accident, San Luis Potosi authorities said.
