Casa Cem, the Guadalajara-based non-profit whose stated goal is to “defend the human right to a healthy environment,” hosts an Eco-Sustainable Bazaar each Saturday evening in a bid to capture the attention of some of the revelers who flock to Guadalajara’s Avenida Chapultepec nightlife corridor at weekends.
The bazaar is held at Casa Cem’s headquarters, Avenida Chapultepec 376, from 5 to 11 p.m. Expect to find several dozen vendors of diverse merchandise, including arts and crafts items, plants, foods, accessories, clothing, household items and more.
Casa Cem also operates a centro de acopio (collection center), receiving donations of many recyclable items, including clean clothing (not footwear), on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Call 33-3615-4499 or check out casacem.com for more details.
