A platform taxi driver said to be in his early 30s was shot and seriously injured at the gas station/convenience store located at the Guadalajara International Airport Wednesday, May 29.
Witnesses said two individuals on a motorcycle approached the driver, who had gotten out of his vehicle, and shot him at point-blank range. According to reports, at least four shots were fired, wounding the driver in the head, leg and back. National Guard officers stationed at the facility quickly attended to the man, who was taken to hospital in an ambulance assigned to the airport. His identity has not been revealed and his condition is reported as “grave.”
