The Guadalajara metropolitan area boasts around 25 Christmas markets of various sizes scattered across its expansive territory, with the two largest and most well-stocked already in full swing.
The first is the market at Parque El Refugio, located on Calzada Federalismo at the intersection with Calle Herrera y Cairo. The second is in Parque Morelos on Calzada Independencia, a site that recently hosted the popular Day of the Dead market.
Parque El Refugio is the largest, featuring approximately 400 vendors offering Christmas trees, an extensive array of decorations, and a variety of seasonal novelties. While smaller, with around 100 stalls, the market at Parque Morelos is equally impressive in terms of its diverse merchandise.
Yuletide items are also widely available in Guadalajara’s supermarkets, department stores, and popular shopping destinations like the massive Mercado San Juan de Dios and the Mercado de Abastos (wholesale market).
For residents in the southern part of the metropolitan area, a convenient small seasonal market is set up at the Zapopan municipal offices in Las Águilas, located at Avenida López Mateos Sur 5150.a
