Ice rinks offers fun for skaters of all skill levels

The skating rink being installed on the Paseo Alcalde,  catty-corner with the Cathedral, is a key element of the downtown’s Ilusionante festival.

The rink opens on December 17, and will be open daily until 8 p.m. through January 6, and is free of charge.  Skates are provided.

Diversiones Polo Norte has set up a special winter attraction for both kids and adults at Plazas Outlet, located on Highway 80 (an extension of López Mateos), just a 15-minute drive from the city ring road (Periférico). The attraction features an ice rink and snowfalls with real — not artificial — snow (or so they claim!).  Admission is 200 pesos per person, and operating hours are 1 p.m. to 9 p.m., Monday to Sunday. Gloves and jackets are available for rent. The attraction is open until January 15, 2025.

There is also a skating rink in the Bugambilias subdivision mall, costing 160 pesos per session, including skates.
