As professional women’s sports rapidly gain popularity across the globe, Guadalajara is eager not to be left behind.
While the city’s men’s professional teams—the Chivas (soccer) and Charros (baseball)—often grab the headlines, it’s important to recognize the women’s teams in both franchises, competing in Liga MX Femenil (soccer) and Liga Mexicana de Softbol (LMS).
Both teams’ seasons have either started or are about to begin, with games set at Guadalajara’s impressive Akron Stadium (Chivas) and Estadio Panamericano (Charros). Both squads have competitive rosters, with the Charros defending their title as LMS champions from the inaugural season last year. Chivas Femenil kicked off its season on January 6 with a 3-0 win on the road in Toluca.
Here are the regular-season home schedules for both teams:
Chivas Femenil
