Guadalajara is once again hosting a nighttime, Christmas-themed spectacle at Parque Alcalde.
At Navidalia, visitors will be able to enjoy around 30 attractions, including a massive multi-media piñata, an 18-meter-tall Christmas tree, giant Reyes Magos (Wise Men), an ice walk (and rink), a train ride, Christmas characters, and much more. This winter wonderland will showcase all the typical Christmas traditions, while emphasizing Mexican ones, according to its creators.

The theme park will be divided into four main zones—the Mexican Posada, Nordic, European, and Middle Eastern—and feature 1.6 kilometers of walkways.
A special highlight will be performances by a large orchestra and choir offering some of the best-loved Christmas carols and music from around the world. Visitors are advised to spend at least four hours in the park, say organizers.
Navidalia opens on Tuesday, December 5, and runs through December 30 (closed on Mondays, December 8 and 15, as well as December 24). Hours are 7 p.m. to midnight, Sunday through Thursday, and 7 p.m. to 1 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.
General admission is 711 pesos for adults, and 351 pesos for children aged 4 to 12. A Comfort Pass, which includes full access, preferential seating, and entry to the “Comfort Zone,” costs 1,548 pesos for adults and 828 pesos for children. Free parking is available across from the theme park.
