Ajijic resident snaps strange object in the sky

Micki Wendt said she got a huge surprise when she reviewed photographs she took the day before on the San Antonio malecon.

The five-year resident of Ajijic thought she had simply taken pictures of the western sky.

But on closer inspection, she noted a bright reddish object in the sky in one of the images.

“I did not see it at the time, nor did anyone else,” she said.

“This object clearly was not the sun. It was also obviously above the land mass.  It gave off its own light as you can see in the halo around it in the misty clouds.”

Another photo Wendt said she took about 15 seconds later shows the same cloud formation but without the bright light.

Wendt  says her house affords a view of the western sky which she looks out at every night.  “I have never seen anything remotely resembling this red object.”

Wendt is finding it hard to come up with an earthly explanation for the object.

“I’m already quite familiar with the usual debunking excuses for strange things seen in the sky.  I know this is not swamp gas or the planet Venus or a kite or a Chinese paper lantern.

“I maintain that this was an extra-terrestrial craft, an ETC passing by beyond the range of human visibility, or perhaps traversing dimensions.”

“A good number of UFOs have been seen in this area,” she added.

“I don’t have Photoshop or any other photo software which would allow me to insert this object.”

Wendt said she would love to hear from anyone who could offer an explanation to the strange object in the sky.
