Jalisco’s Secretaria de Transporte (SeTrans) resumed the issuance of driver permits at its Chapala branch office as of Monday, July 6, following temporary closure for the Covid health emergency.
The service is currently available only by prior appointment, requested online at gobjal.mx/CitaLicencia.
The office is located adjacent to the public parking lot at the east end of Paseo Ramón Corona opposite the Club de Yates in the Acapulquito Restaurant Corridor.
Around a dozen applicants were seen waiting in line outside the rear door at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 7. One English-speaking man told the Guadalajara Reporter that he had applied for the appointment one day prior.
