Farmers Market celebrates anniversary with Chef’s Challenge events

A small group of local foodies was privileged to learn and taste Spanish culinary treats at the first Chef’s Challenge Masterclass held Tuesday, March 16, at the weekly headquarters of  the Lake Chapala Farmers Market in conjunction with its 11-year anniversary.

pg15bThe class was conducted by Chef Massimo Medina, proprietor of Ajijic’s Palé Restaurant, presenting a demonstration of classic menu items such as gazpacho, tortilla de papa, pisto manchego, tapas and Basque-style pintxo, all prepared from fresh ingredients sold in the Farmers Market.
