An elderly foreigner presumed to be a U.S. citizen was pronounced dead of natural causes where his body was found Tuesday, August 30 on the west end of Ajijic.
Called to the scene along the service road near the intersection with Calle Rio Bravo, first responders detected no vital signs of the 77-year-old man identified as a resident of Ixtlahuacán de los Membrillos. According to local authorities, he apparently felt symptoms of a heart attack while driving and pulled over to the side of the road to call for emergency aid. Unfortunately, he expired before help arrived.
