A highlight of the May 3 finale of the fiestas patronales celebration in Santa Cruz de la Soledad was the unveiling of the totem spelling out the name of the town.
The two-tier monument installed at the village plaza is made up of 20 colorful letters adorned with images representing local scenery, culture and customs, including the “T” shaped in the form of a wooden cross.
Santa Cruz is the last of Chapala’s satellite delegations and municipal seat to be endowed with its own ID sign as local point of interest for inhabitants and visitors.
