For the second year running Chapala will host the kickoff of a thrills and chills off-road race, this time titled the Jalisco 400.
Recreational vehicle drivers from different parts of Mexico and the United States are competing in the national championship test.
They will line up assorted souped-up trucks, SUVs, ATVs and motocross bikes along the Malecón for public viewing on Friday, July 5. Engines will roar into action the following morning for the take-off to back roads leading to the finish line in the distant rural town of Talpa de Allende.
