Thrill The World is an annual global event where participants simultaneously dance to Michael Jackson’s iconic song “Thriller.”
Ajijic will mark its 14th anniversary of Thrill the World Ajijic, bringing together zombies of all ages, both Mexican and expat, to learn the dance and raise funds for local charities.
Thrill the World Ajijic boasts a large group of participants, spanning a wide age range. The event includes enthusiastic local Mexican children, some as young as four, as well as retired expats who return year after year, some well into their 80s!
The funds raised by Thrill the World Ajijic 2024 will benefit the Rotary Club of Ajijic.
Rehearsals will begin on Saturday, August 31, from 1 to 3 p.m. at the dance studio located on the third floor of Plaza Bugambílías in Ajijic. Rehearsals will continue every Tuesday from 4 to 6 p.m. and every Saturday from 1 to 3 p.m. until the end of October. The main event is scheduled for Saturday, October 26, at 3 p.m.
Be sure to wear comfortable clothes and shoes, bring water, a pen and paper for notes, and a one-time registration fee of 100 pesos.
