Motorists, beware: Chapala’s traffic department is stepping up enforcement of the no-parking ban on the north side of Calle Ramón Corona in San Antonio Tlayacapan. This restriction applies to the block between San José and Independencia.
Calle Ramón Corona is a two-way street that often becomes congested as cars, trucks, delivery vehicles, and passenger buses vie for space in a single open lane, while other vehicles park along the upper curb.
Traffic jams also occur during the hours when drivers stop to drop off or pick up students at the Cuauhtémoc elementary school.
To help drivers avoid fines, the no-parking zone has been clearly marked with freshly repainted yellow traffic lines.
