In a first-of-its-kind national gathering, YouTube creators dedicated to providing useful information to foreigners living in or considering a move to Mexico convened in Ajijic for four days in what amounted to a loosely organized networking convention.
The Mextranjero event, held February 4 through 7, was coordinated by local residents Craig and KJ, who operate the Truly Remarkable Life YouTube channel, along with related Facebook and web platforms. The couple also offers a variety of tours and concierge services to their subscribers. They were inspired to organize the event after attending an informal YouTubers’ meetup in San Miguel de Allende last year that demonstrated the potential to bring together content creators with shared interests.
