The cost of electricity for high-end domestic, business and industrial consumers rose November 1.
Tarifa DAC consumers will see an additional 3.3 percent added to their bimonthly bills, while prices for businesses will rise between 3.3 and 5 percent, and 5.6 and 7.2 percent for industry.
Domestic consumers with low to regular levels of electricity use (less than 500 kwh bimonthly) will not see any change in their bills. According to the Federal Electricity Commission (CFE), this category represents 95 percent of all consumers in Mexico.
