The debate rages on whether humanoid corpses displayed last week in Mexico’s Congress by ufologist Jaime Maussan are “aliens,” terrestrial in origin, or simply clever fakes.
It emerged this week that the bodies may have been illegally smuggled out of Peru, where a criminal probe has now been launched.
Carbon dating shows that one of the bodies is 700 years old, while the other dates back 1,800 years. If this were true, Maussan would have broken Peruvian law protecting archaeological remains to get them out of the country.
Maussan, who claims that the bodies are from a “non-terrestrial species,” insists he hasn’t done anything illegal but refuses to say how they came to be in Mexico.
