The National Immigration Institute (INM) has released data on international visitors (on tourist visas) to Mexico in 2024.
U.S. citizens top the INM’s list with 12.6 million visitors, far ahead of second-place Canada, which recorded 2.3 million. Colombians come in third with 563,000 visitors.
The United Kingdom is the European country with the most visitors (430,000) to Mexico, surprisingly surpassing Spain (historically with strong ties with Mexico), in fifth place with 340,000.
The rest of the top ten visitor countries are: 6th: Argentina (327,000), 7th: France (277,000), 8th: Germany (234,000), 9th: Brazil (196,000), 10th: China (188,000).
