Lakeside resident Tony Harries passed away December 12 at the age of 69 after a battle with cancer.
Born in Houston, Texas on March 26, 1943, Harries was raised in Odessa, Texas and attended Texas Western College, later named the University of Texas at El Paso. Upon graduation he taught school for 31 years in El Paso. During his teaching career, he spent many vacations in the Guadalajara/Lake Chapala area. After retirement in 1997 he was able to realize his dream and moved permanently to Ajijic.
He completed his training and internship with Ajijic Real Estate in the summer of 1997 and was active in real estate sales since then.
