Chapala resident Elizabeth Shala Jobes Brown died February 10 after suffering a fatal heart attack.
Born January 15, 1930 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, where she was also educated, Brown entered the real estate profession as a sales person and retired as a closer.
She married Charles E. Brown on October 15, 1983 in St. Paul, Minnesota. The couple moved to Mexico in 1984, first to Guadalajara then San Miguel de Allende, finally arriving in Chapala in 2006.
Brown was a past president of the Ladies Auxiliary Unit 3 and a member of the Lake Chapala Society.
She is survived by her husband, Charles, a son Christopher, daughter Sally, and two sisters, Susan and Nancy.
