Fairzani Agnes (Parr) Borkowski
Fairzani Agnes (Parr) Borkowski, or “Fair” as she is better known, died April 15 at 101 years of age.
Born September 6, 1921, in Collin County, Texas, Fair attended various elementary schools in and around Parker, Lucas and Wylie in Collin County. She graduated from Plano High School in 1938.
Fair married James Joseph Borkowski on September 8, 1940, and together they raised five children, James Daniel (Danny), Mary Virginia, Edward Francis, Timothy Joseph, and Mary Ann. Her husband James and all of her children, except James Daniel, preceded her in death. She is survived by 14 grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren.
Fair was a life-long Catholic who once served as the director of Christian Education of her parish in Dallas, St. James. She had a career as a salesperson for World Book Encyclopedia after her four older children were grown. Fair wrote a book about her mother Elsie’s life, “Mother,” which includes much information about her other family members.
Fair spent her last years in the company of her eldest son, Danny Borkowski, and his wife Kay. When in Mexico she was part of the at 9 a.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday exercise class at at the Lake Chapala Society until her late 90s.
Fair’s funeral service will be at St. Pius X Catholic Church in Dallas, May 22, 2023 at 11 a.m.
