Dean Lee Kelley
Long-time Ajijic resident Dean Lee Kelley passed away peacefully at his Rancho del Oro home on Thursday, September 4, following a lengthy illness. He was 76 years old.
Born on February 2, 1949, Dean and his close family members relocated from Southern California and made Ajijic their permanent home for the past 20 years.
Dean was a man who cherished his family, doted on his grandchildren, and enjoyed the companionship of devoted friends both in the lakeside community and in the United States. He took great pride in both his native and adopted countries and was an avid fan of his Angels of Anaheim and Los Angeles, as well as a passionate aficionado of classic rock music.
Dean is survived by his loving wife of more than 36 years, Janet Kelley; sons Carl, Michael and Jason Kelley; daughter-in-law Carmen Kelley; granddaughter Andrea; and grandson Grayson. He is also survived by his brother Greg, his sister Lisa, and their families, including Sarah, Erin, Amy, and Amy’s daughter, Ruby.
A large circle of relatives and friends, who will miss him dearly, have extended their heartfelt condolences during this time of grief. A celebration of his life will be planned for a future date.
