New pier for Puerto Vallarta

Puerto Vallarta will construct a new pier adjacent to the Hotel Rosita, the port’s first established tourist accommodation.

The design will resemble the pier at Playa de los Muertos in the city center, according to Jalisco Governor Pablo Lemus.

The new pier will measure 140 meters in length and feature a sailboat-shaped design with a metal structure, steel mesh, scenic lighting, urban furniture and a wide viewpoint. Estimated at 430 million pesos (US$2.1 million), the project aims to enhance the Romantic Zone’s appeal and “the homogenization of its urban image,” Lemus said during a visit to the port last week.
